Severo Martinez y Grupo Fuego have received three nominations for the 25th annual New Mexico Hispano Music Awards. The Albuquerque-based band picked up nominations for Bilingual Song of the Year and Vocal Duo of the Year for “Quiero Saber” featuring Marissa Sandoval, and a nomination for Band of the Year.
“We are thrilled to announce that we received 3 nominations last night from the NMHMA,” the band posted on their official Facebook page recently. “The best nomination we received is for Band of the year! To be nominated amongst the best bands in the state that we have always looked up to is an honor. Congrats to all the nominees and good luck.”
Severo Martinez Y Grupo Fuego will also be one of the performers at the annual awards show at the Ohkay Casino Conference Center in Espanola, New Mexico on January 16, 2016. For the list of additional nominees, visit nmhma.org.
